Just another day - laying out tile

A common recommendation for laying out tile is that the edge pieces should not be less than half the width of the tile. Here's an interesting way to do that.

Just use more grout - saves a lot of cutting!

  1. I don't know. Most tile specs I've seen require the edge pieces to be at least half a tile, and require uniform joint widths. I don't know if the specs had a requirement for so many years' experience, but it wouldn't mean much if the tile setter had always done this. I've never had much faith in experience requirements.

  2. You deserve an award for being perhaps the most inspirational economist of constructive thought within endless moments of perpetuity's ups and downs.
